Problem-solving as team building: how Spotable does it

What do you do when you run into a problem? Sit back and accept defeat, or do something about it? No doubt about it, Spotable falls into the second category.
For our team building activity, sales and developers paired up and got to work as duos. The assignment: identify something that costs time or could be done better, and build a solution for it using AI.
No fussing about not knowing how to code, that's precisely the point.
The six teams and their solutions
Team 1 – SpotiNotify (Joachim& Lucrèce)
Imagine this: you're driving to a client and ring the doorbell. Only then do you discover that a deployment just went live and certain features have broken. Awkward for you and confusing for the client. SpotiNotify is a native mobile app that alerts all sales reps on the road whenever a new deployment goes out. So they always walk in fully prepared.

Team 2 – SPAICY (Jan & Louis)
Short for the SPotable AI Sales Conversation Insights agent. SPAICY listens in on sales conversations, converts the audio to text, and evaluates the call. The result: constructive, personalized feedback that sales reps can take into their next conversation. Learning by doing, but smarter.

Team 3 – Waypoint (Frank & Fien)
Multiple meetings across two provinces, all on the same day. Not ideal, but it happens. Waypoint is a planning tool that intelligently schedules sales visits based on proximity, travel time, and a logical day structure. Less frustration for sales reps on the road and more time for what actually matters.

Team 4 – Routewise (Lucas & Francois)
Where Waypoint focuses on scheduling meetings, Routewise leans more into route optimization. Based on the location of available leads and the sales rep's calendar, the system automatically calculates the most efficient route for the day.

Team 5 – Spotable Lead Finder (Pieter-Jan & Sofie)
Finding good leads takes time. The Lead Finder looks up contact details of potential clients by city using Google Maps data. What used to take hours, you can now do in between tasks.

Team 6 – The Spotting List (Hector & Tom)
No more Slack messages to five different people just to order a ream of paper. Instead, a clean platform for office requests. Complete with delivery status updates, product links, and clear communication around approvals.

What the team building brought us
More important than the prototypes themselves is what happens when sales and development truly work together. Not through a ticket or a shared spreadsheet, but literally side by side. The sales rep explains what they deal with day to day, and the developer responds in real time. The result: a deeper mutual understanding than anything you’d pick up in a team meeting. A concrete sense of what the other side experiences daily and what it takes to improve it.
One thing is certain: this won’t be the last time we host a vibe coding challenge. We simply had too much fun to leave it at this.
