Ghent-based Spotable raises €1.2 million for AI-driven construction quotes

The Ghent-based start-up Spotable has raised €1.2 million in growth capital with AI software that helps construction companies take measurements and prepare quotations.
Spotable, based in Ghent's Wintercircus, uses satellite imagery, Lidar technology, and historical data to take accurate measurements for construction projects and quickly prepare detailed quotations.
According to founder Sebastien Vandendriessche, the solution saves contractors an average of 3 to 4 hours per quote and helps them attract more customers than competitors who work in the traditional way.
The investment comes from the NewSchool investment fund and various entrepreneurs, including the Cloostermans-Huwaert, Vandermarliere, Tillon, and Guy Serraes families.
Spotable tested its solution with roofers, but also wants to use the growth capital to tap into new markets such as facade workers and solar panel installers. The start-up also wants to create links with CRM systems, invoicing tools, and construction wholesalers, and is aiming for a European rollout.
“Our software can revolutionize construction. We want to support both sole traders and large construction companies,” says Vandendriessche.
